Young Wimbledon Artist in Residence 2024

From August - September 2024 I was an artist in residence at the Wimbledon Museum. Over the two months we used the museum as a shared studio and produced work inspired by artefacts in the museum’s collection.

I was inspired by their assortment of pamphlets from Wimbledon Theatre to create a crankie box that honours and memorialises the rich history of the location.

The model features a hand drawn scroll that rotates and depicts the story of ‘Jack and Jill’ - the first pantomime to be held at the theatre.

The residency culminated in an exhibition featured on the Wimbledon Arts Trail.
